  • Performance in extremely cold weather. Designed to remain flexible, even when the mercury falls well below freezing. Because it does not become brittle in cold weather, it is less likely to crack and create leaks.
  • Self-adhering. To put in place, all you have to do is peel the backing off as you unroll your modified bitumen membrane onto the roof.
  • Light in color and has heat-reflective properties. That means that it won’t retain heat on a sunny day, so your air conditioning system won’t have to work so hard to keep your building cool.
  • Modified bitumen roofing is recyclable.

Exceptional Durability

A modified bitumen roof is made of sturdy roofing material with a tough membrane for durability. This roofing system is built to withstand strong weather and extreme impact. When a modified bitumen is applied on flat roofs, a variety of hot and cold application methods are used to keep the material in place for many years.

Relatively Low Cost

Another benefit of a modified bitumen system is how affordable it is. The labor, material and installation costs are inexpensive compared to any other flat roofing system.

Requires Minimal Maintenance

Although it is a popular roofing system for residential homeowners, it is also widely used in commercial roofing systems because of its low-maintenance features. A flat roof requires specific maintenance methods to ensure ongoing smooth performance. With modified bitumen, maintenance requirements are reduced.

Prolonged Lifespan

Its polymer-reinforced layer promotes better elasticity features at high and low temperatures. Because of this, modified bitumen can stick around longer than other roofing systems.

Strength
EPDM is a high tensile strength, single-ply membrane ideal for long-term watertight
integrity. EPDM is lightweight, ideal for new construction and retrofit systems
without adding excessive weight to the roof deck.

Flexibility
The membrane remains flexible in hot and cold temperatures so it will not
split or crack.

Long Lifecycle
It provides excellent resistance to ozone and UV and can handle the coldest
winters or the desert heat.

EPDM product Information
Mule-Hide membranes are manufactured under strict quality control and are available in a wide range of sheet sizes, lengths and membrane thicknesses through the largest nationwide distribution channel.

Standard Black EPDM Membrane
The most economical singly-ply membrane. Ideal for ballasted and fully adhered systems.

Standard Reinforced EPDM Membrane
Reinforced with tough polyester fabric for superior fatigue, tear, and puncture resistance Ideal for mechanically attached systems.

On-Black EPDM Membrane
Reflects the sunlight and cools the building interior leading to lower BTU usage and energy costs.

Fully adhered application is required. Meets CA Title 24, CRRC rated and ENERGY STAR listed.

Warranty Program

penetrations are also available.

Energy Efficient Roof
White surfaces have been shown to reflect up to 78% of the suns rays to reduce air-conditioning costs. The superb reflectivity of white PVC even reduces the heat build-up under the membrane. PVC white membrane adds to the aesthetics of the building while increasing energy efficiency.

Flexibility
The membrane remains flexible in hot and cold temperatures so it will not split or crack. PVC can handle the desert sun, sand, arctic freezes, and torrential downpours.

The Best Lifecycle
PVC provides excellent resistance to fire, UV, airborne bacteria, and industrial pollutants such as air conditioning coolants. Reinforced membrane is engineered to remain dimensionally stable over time.

Lightweight yet Strong System
Weighing less than 1 lb. per square foot makes it ideal for new construction and retrofit installations without adding excessive weight to the roof deck. Stands up to repeated exposure to severe climates, high winds, building movement, and routine rooftop traffic.

Heat-Welded Seam Strength
Mule-Hide PVC roofs use a heat-welding process that fuses the membrane seams to form a permanent, watertight seal. Superior seam strength provides greater wind uplift resistance.

Code Compliance
UL and FM listed assemblies are available upon request.

Re-roofing – Tear off and Recovers

Re-roofing is the process of installing a new roof when a roofing system fails. Roofing system failures can be caused by a number of factors, including age, severe weather, poor workmanship, defective materials, improper specification of a roofing system, abuse and failure to maintain the roof via inspections.

Roof Repairs

Repair is a process where an existing roofing system has additions and adjustments made to it, such as caulking, re-coating and repairing penetration to fix leaks in the roofing system.

We offer repairs for Homeowners, Real estate Agents and Insurance claims.

Restoration

Restoration involves the major repair of the roof system, including the repair of all penetrations and resurfacing of the roof to restore it to serviceable condition. The opportunity to perform restoration work normally exists two or three years prior to the roofs end of its life cycle and before significant damage occurs. The cost of restoration is typically one half of the cost of re-roofing. We employ a team that has specialty training to be able to identify and correct major deficiencies in roof systems prior to replacement. This process can include coatings, re-flashings and modern design modifications.

Maintenance

Maintenance involves the physical inspection of an existing roofing system to determine it’s current condition, detect weakness and failures and identify any potential future problems. Through a program of regularly scheduled annual or semiannual inspections, the company’s technicians assist owner in protecting their roofing investments by seeking to identify damage in its early stages. Early detection of leaks and roof system failures make it possible for the company to repair and extend the life of a roof system through repair or restoration, which is significantly less expensive and time consuming than re-roofing.
